Bartieaantje was born on December 29th, 1807 in Aalburg and her baptism took place there on January 3rd, 1808.1  Bartieaantje's father was Cornelis Verhagen and her mother was Pieternella van Wijk.  Her paternal grandparents were Arij Verhagen and Anneke Kameraad; her maternal grandparents are Gijsbert van Wijk and Maria van Kuijk. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Arien, Arien, Maria, Teuntje, Gijsbertje, Anneke, Bastiaantje and Pieternella.  She was the seventh oldest of the nine children.  She died at 2 months old on March 11th, 1808 in Aalburg.1
