Anneke was born on April 27th, 1805 in Aalburg and her baptism took place there on May 5th, 1805.1  Anneke's father was Cornelis Verhagen and her mother was Pieternella van Wijk.  Her paternal grandparents were Arij Verhagen and Anneke Kameraad; her maternal grandparents are Gijsbert van Wijk and Maria van Kuijk. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Arien, Arien, Maria, Teuntje, Gijsbertje, Bartieaantje, Bastiaantje and Pieternella.  She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 88 on March 1st, 1894 in Wijk en Aalburg.2
