Pietertje was born on March 19th, 1807 in IJsselstein and her baptism took place there on March 22nd, 1807.1   Her godmother was Johanna Spijker. Pietertje's father was Cornelis Otterspoor and her mother was Cornelia Hoogendoorn.  Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Pieterszn Otterspoor and Willemijntje van Rooyen; her maternal grandfather was Pieter Hoogendoorn and her maternal grandmother is Sandertje Ververs. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Pieter, Pieter, Cornelis, Sander, Willemijntje, Willemijntje and Sannetje.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Barent Dirkje, Kaatje, Antonia and Cornelia.  She died at the age of 4 on February 27th, 1812 in IJsselstein.2
