Kornelia was born in August 1753 in Nootdorp and her baptism took place there on August 19th, 1753.1   Her godmother was Kornelia van der Meer. Kornelia's father was Justus van der Meer and her mother was Geertje Jacobsdr Hogervorst.  Her paternal grandparents are Arij Joostzn van der Meer and Cornelia  Ariens dr Rotteveen; her maternal grandfather was Jacob Jacobszn Hogervorst and her maternal grandmother is Neeltje Claesdr van den Bosch. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Jacobus, Jacobus, Neeltje, Christina, Marij, Maria and Ariaantje.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 64 on December 27th, 1817 in Delft.1
