Ariaantje was born in May 1768 in Nootdorp and her baptism took place there on May 3rd, 1768.1   Her godmother was Katarina Hogervorst. Ariaantje's father was Justus van der Meer and her mother was Geertje Jacobsdr Hogervorst.  Her paternal grandparents are Arij Joostzn van der Meer and Cornelia  Ariens dr Rotteveen; her maternal grandfather was Jacob Jacobszn Hogervorst and her maternal grandmother is Neeltje Claesdr van den Bosch. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Jacobus, Jacobus, Kornelia, Neeltje, Christina, Marij and Maria.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 33 on April 6th, 1802 in Pijnacker.2
