Justus was born in May 1720 in Nootdorp and his baptism took place there on May 19th, 1720.1   His godmother was Marijtgen Cornelia Westerveld. Justus' father is Arij Joostzn van der Meer and his mother is Cornelia  Ariens dr Rotteveen.  His paternal grandparents are Joost Abrahamszn van der Meer and Marijtje Cornelisdr Westerveld. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Lourens, David, Laurentius, Arij, Ariaentje, Pieternelletje, Gerritje, Jannitje, Jannetje Arijdr, Stijntje and Marijtje.  He was the second oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 74 on August 15th, 1794 in Pijnacker.2
