Trientjen was born in March 1674 in Swijp and her baptism took place on March 28th, 1674 in Lochem.1   Her godfather was Gerret Schulten and her godmothers were Aeltjen Schulten, Geultjen ter Bentel. Trientjen's father was Berent Burinck and her mother was Otjen Schulten.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Burinck and N.N. N.N.; her maternal grandparents were Gerrit Schulten and N.N. N.N.. She had four brothers and a sister, named Jan, Jan, Herman, Goossen and Jenneken.  She was the second oldest of the six children.
