Frances was born on October 4th, 1838.  Frances' father was William Wharin and her mother is Sarah Butterworth.  Her paternal grandparents were Jarvis Wharin and Mary Barber. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Mary, Sarah and Ann.  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died at 8 months old in June 1839.
