William Kemp & Frances Knight

William and Frances were married in a religious ceremony on August 17th, 1844 in Shenfield Church, Essex.¹

  • In 1858, they lived at Priest(s) Lane, Shenfield, Essex. See map below this box - look bottom middle. The railway was built through Shenfield in 1843, and many workers were needed, perhaps that is why William moved from Felstead to Shenfield, as Priest lane runs along the course of the railway where the workers huts were. see map below. v v MARRIED 3rd q 1844 ref Billericay 12 p21

They had three sons and four daughters, named Frederick, William, France, Hannah, Ellen, Rhoda and Mary.
