Mary Ann Spencer

Mary was born in March 1847 in Bursledon, Hampshire and her christening took place there on March 16th, 1845.¹²

Mary's father was Henry Spencer and her mother was Susanna Emery. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Spencer and Ann Carter; her maternal grandparents were Edward Emery and Mary Smith. She had three brothers and three sisters, named George, Arthur, Hiram, Jane, Ellen and Harriet. She was the second youngest of the seven children.
