Mary Ann was born on June 24th, 1823 in Somerset.1   Mary Ann's father was James Laver and her mother was Angel Cottle. She had a brother and four sisters, named Wiliam, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Sarah and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 85 in 1908.
