Margaret was born in 1874 in Levens, Westmoreland and her christening took place there on April 19th, 1874.1 2   Margaret's father was John Harris Latham and her mother was Eliza Ransome.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Latham and Mary Townley. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Mary, Annie and Lucy.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 1 in March 1875.
