Annie was born in 1879 in Levens, Westmoreland and her christening took place there on April 13th, 1879.1 2   Annie's father was John Harris Latham and her mother was Eliza Ransome.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Latham and Mary Townley. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Mary, Margaret and Lucy.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 1 in December 1880.
