Marie Anne was born on April 10th, 1706 in Luneray, SEINE-MARITIME, France and her christening took place there on April 10th, 1706.1   Marie Anne's father was Pierre Lardant and her mother was Jeanne du Bosc.  Her paternal grandmother was Madeleine Follenfant. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Pierre, Louis, Jean, Jacques, Elizabeth, Marie and Marguerite.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.
