Jacques was born in 1708 in Luneray, SEINE-MARITIME, France.1   Jacques' father was Pierre Lardant and his mother was Jeanne du Bosc.  His paternal grandmother was Madeleine Follenfant. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Pierre, Louis, Jean, Elizabeth, Marie, Marguerite and Marie Anne.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 80 in 1788.1
