Marie was born on August 15th, 1701 in Luneray, SEINE-MARITIME, France and her christening took place there on August 21st, 1701.1   Marie's father was Pierre Lardant and her mother was Jeanne du Bosc.  Her paternal grandmother was Madeleine Follenfant. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Pierre, Louis, Jean, Jacques, Elizabeth, Marguerite and Marie Anne.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.
