Joseph Kemp

Joseph was born in 1861 in Great Waltham, Essex and his christening took place there on April 7th, 1861.¹² Joseph's father was Thomas Kemp and his mother was Maria Olley. His paternal grandparents were John Kemp and Elizabeth Bentall; his maternal grandparents were John Olley and Jane Shonk. He had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, John, George, Frederick, Walter, Margaret, Eliza and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.
