Annie Elizabeth Groves

Annie was born in June 1873 in Isle of Wight.¹ Annie's father was Alfred Groves and her mother was Elizabeth Jane Jennings. Her paternal grandparents were James Groves and Ann Francis; her maternal grandparents were James Jennings and Elizabeth Deighton. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, William, Alfred, Clarence, Edith, Margaret, Deborah and Effie. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 17 in 1890 in Isle of Wight.²
