Elizabeth was born in September 1850 in Ventnor, Isle of Wight.1   Elizabeth's father was James Jennings and her mother was Elizabeth Deighton.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Jennings and Ann Delasalle; her maternal grandparents were James Deighton and Jane Hayden. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James, William, Clara and Deborah.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 88 in 1938 in Ventnor, Isle of Wight.  She was buried on October 27th, 1938 in Ventnor, Isle of Wight.2 3
