Rowland Jesse Light

Rowland Jesse was born in 1896 in Horsforth Yorkshire.¹ Rowland Jesse's father was Frank Light and his mother was Margaret Foster. His paternal grandparents are William Light and Isabella Blenkinsop; his maternal grandparents were John Burnell Foster and Sarah Whitehead. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jack, Richard Merrick, Frank Stanley, Alice and Mary. He is the oldest of the six children.
