  • Samuel 22-June- 1908 age 75, parents not known place of birth Bethnal Green London lived in the state of Victoria 56 years information given by a son.

  • Another old resident of the town passed away yesterday in the person of Mr S W Spillman aged 75yrs.  the deceased was a native of London and came to Victoria in 1852.  Landing at Portland he spent sometine on the goldfields with varying success.  He married in 1861 and resided for three years following  in the Vicotira Valley.  He then came to Hamilton and resided here continuously until his demise.  He had been in frail health for the past 3yrs but the end came unexpectedly.  On Sunday eveing he retired in his usual good spirits and it was not until early yesterday morning that his condition occassional anxiety and he passed away a few hours later.  He is survived by six sons and 6 daughter, 33 grand children and 1 great child.
    
    The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.
