Thomas was born about September 16th, 1770 in Great Yarmouth and his christening took place on September 16th, 1770 in Great Yarmouth Norfolk.1  Thomas' father was John Spillman and his mother was Mary Carter.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Spillman  and Sarah Wedelow; his maternal grandparents are Carter and <Unknown>. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Phillis.  He was the second oldest of the three known children.  He died  due to Diarhrea on December 28th, 1852 at 10 Globe Rd Bethnal Green.  The funeral took place about December 1852.  He was buried in December 1852.2

Thomas and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on June 2nd, 1793 at St Dunstan Stepney.  They had seven sons and two daughters, named Henry, John, William, Samuel, James, James, Robert, Mary and Mary.  There are possibly more children.
