Agnes' father was William Turner and her mother was Jessie Calder.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Turner Sr. and Mary Russell. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Peter, John, Ina, Mary, Eliza, Jessie, Jane and Eliza.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 79 on March 5th, 1946 in Edinburgh.  She was buried in Liberton.
