Walter was born on July 18th, 1911 in New Jersey.1 2 Walter's father was William Towers and his mother was Alice McRae Hoag. His paternal grandparents were Walter Colquhoun Towers and Jane (Jean, Jeanie) Kerr. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Isabel. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 64 in 1975 in New Jersey. He was buried in New Jersey.3 3
