John Towers 
John was born in 1847 in Paisley.1 2 John's father was William Tours and his mother was Margaret Colquhoun. His paternal grandparents were William Tours and Janet Fulton. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William, Walter, Margaret, Janet, Isabella, Cecillia, Elisabeth and Christina. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died from cancer, Carcinoma of larynx, 5 years, asphyxia, at the age of 74 on June 24th, 1921 in Paisley.3 -

He died in 1921 while still employed there.3
