George Tait Robertson

George was born in 1885 in Gorbals.¹²

George's father was Jonathan Robertson and his mother was Helen Tait. His paternal grandparents were James Robertson and Ann McMurran. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James, John, Hugh, Robert, Edmund, Catherine, Margaret, Annie, Elizabeth, Mary and Susan. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died from a heart attack, "probably coronary thrombosis", at the age of 78 on January 2nd, 1963 in Glasgow.³
