Annie's father was William Munachen and her mother was Catherine Robertson. Her maternal grandparents were George Robertson and Martha Carlton McGloughlane. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Peter, Peter, George, James, William, John, Martha, Agnes, Euphemia, Minnie, Martha, Minnie and Janet. She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. She had two half-brothers named William and Peter. She died at the age of 26 on December 26th, 1905 in New Cumnock.³
