Mary McEwan 
Mary was born in September 1880 in Shotts.1 2 Mary's father was John McEwan and her mother was Elspeth Savage. Her maternal grandparents were Hugh Savage and Margaret Dickson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Hugh, John, David, Jane, Maggie, Elspeth and Agnes. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
