George Doig 
George was born in 1867 in Kilmarnock.1 2 George's father was James Doig and his mother was Alison (Alice) McMurran. His maternal grandparents were John McMurran and Agnes Robertson. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, James, Andrew and Agnes. He was the second oldest of the five children.-
