Sibella's father was William Dick and her mother was Sibella Brash.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Dick and Janet Smeal; her maternal grandparents were Alexander Brash and Janet Crawford. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, George and Jessie.  She was the second youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Robert, Agnes, Jessie and Jane.  She died at the age of 46 on January 5th, 1905 in North Berwick.
