Margaret's father was John Davidson and her mother was Ann Wilson.  Her maternal grandparents were John Wilson and Margaret Rennie. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, <Unknown>, Jessie and Annie.  She was the third oldest of the six children. She had two half-sisters named Isabella and Mary.
