Thomas' father was Thomas Crosbie and his mother was Helen Cunningham. His maternal grandparents were Alexander Cunningham and Margaret Mitchell. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Irvine, John, Archibald, Margaret, Jean and Blanche. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 46 on November 7th, 1919. He was buried in Allegheny.
