James, known as Jimmy, was born in 1885 in Paisley.1 2  Jimmy's father was James Craig and his mother was Margaret (Maggie) Towers.  His maternal grandparents were Michael Towers and Janet Mathie. He had a brother and three sisters, named Willie, Janet, Fay and Nan.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 83 on January 8th, 1968 in Paisley.  He was buried in Paisley.3 3
