Annie, known as Nan, was born in 1888 in Paisley.¹²

Nan's father was James Craig and her mother was Margaret (Maggie) Towers. Her maternal grandparents were Michael Towers and Janet Mathie. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Willie, Jimmy, Janet and Fay. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 73 on January 8th, 1961 in Greenock. She was buried in Paisley.³³
