James Patton Preston

James Patton was born on June 21st, 1774. James Patton's father was Col William Preston and his mother was Susannah Smith. His paternal grandparents were Col John Preston and Elizabeth Patton; his maternal grandparents were Francis Smith and Elizabeth Waddi. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John, Francis Smith, William, Thomas Lewis, Elizabeth, Sarah, Susannah, Mary, Letitia, Margaret Brown and Ann. He died at the age of 68 on May 4th, 1843.
