Mary was born in 1761.  Mary's father was Col Alexander TRADER Lowrey and her mother was Mary Waters (Native American).  Her paternal grandparents were Lazarus Lowrey and Elizabeth Campbell. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, David, Lazarus, John, Elizabeth and Margaret.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 52 in 1813.
