Elizabeth was born on October 31st, 1757 in Marietta, York, Pennsylvania.  Elizabeth's father was Col Alexander TRADER Lowrey and her mother was Mary Waters (Native American).  Her paternal grandparents were Lazarus Lowrey and Elizabeth Campbell. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, David, Lazarus, John, Mary and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 36 in 1793.
