    December 5, 1835

    Will of James Scott: my wife, Elenor, gets my real and personal estate during her lifetime or widowhood. My daughter, Lydia Scott, gets a bed and furniture, saddle, cow and calf. If my wife should marry she gets 1/3 of Estate. My son, Price Scott, gets 1/2 of the Plantation where I now live, containing 200 hundred acres. The other half goes to my daughter, Ann Combs. My negro, Moses, goes to my son, Marshall Scott and to my daughter, Lidia Scott. I desire Moses, to stay in family but, if one does not want to purchase him he can be sold and money divided equally. My grandaughter Martha Ann Scott gets one cow and calf and furniture, after my wife's death, Estate to be divided;
