Maredydd ap Bleddyn 
Maredydd ap was born in 1047 in Montgomery, Wales. Maredydd ap's father was Bleddyn ap Cynfyn and his mother is Haer verch Cillin. His paternal grandparents are Cynfyn ap Gwerystan and Angharad verch Maredydd; his maternal grandfather is Cynllyn ap Blaidd. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Madog ap, Rhiryd ap, Cadwagan ap, Iorweth ap, Gwenllian Vech and Hunydd Vech. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 85 in 1132 in Powys, Wales.General Notes

Maredudd joined in the revolt of his brothers Cadwgan and Iorwerth in
1102, but failed to change sides when they did and was handed over to the
English. He escaped in 1107 and worked with his nephew, Owain. On
Owain' s death in 1116, Maredudd succeeded. In 1122 his raids across the
English bo rder antagonized Henry I "Longshanks", who led an expedition
against him. He was reduced to taking refuge in Snowdonia before making
peace on terms.

Madog ap was born in 1091 in Powys, Wales. He died at the age of 69 in 1160 in Winchester, Hampshire, England. He was buried in St Tysilio, Meifod, Montgomeryshire, Wales.
