Harris was born on July 13th, 1791 in Hopkinton, Washington, Rhode Island, USA.1 Harris' father was Harris Chesebro and his mother is Martha Champlin. His paternal grandparents were James Chesebrough and Lucy Pendleton; his maternal grandparents are Samuel Champlin and Mary Kenyon. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Samuel Champlin, Nathan, Eli, Jared, Patt Polly, Lydia, Rhoda Rhody, Phoebe and Catherine. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 70 on June 26th, 1862.1 -
