Catherine was born in 1806 in North Brookfield, Madison, New York, USA.1 Catherine's father was Harris Chesebro and her mother is Martha Champlin. Her paternal grandparents were James Chesebrough and Lucy Pendleton; her maternal grandparents are Samuel Champlin and Mary Kenyon. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Harris, Samuel Champlin, Nathan, Eli, Jared, Patt Polly, Lydia, Rhoda Rhody and Phoebe. She is the second youngest of the ten children.-
