WALTER was born in 1206.1 WALTER's father was WILLIAM 'THE YOUNGER' De BRAOSE and his mother was MAUD (MATILDA) De CLARE. His maternal grandparents were RICHARD De CLARE and AMICIA FITZWILLIAM. He had six brothers named JOHN, RICHARD, ANTHONY, GILES, PHILLIP and WILLIAM. He is the second youngest of the seven children.
