GILES was born in 1202.1 GILES' father was WILLIAM 'THE YOUNGER' De BRAOSE and his mother was MAUD (MATILDA) De CLARE. His maternal grandparents were RICHARD De CLARE and AMICIA FITZWILLIAM. He had six brothers named JOHN, RICHARD, ANTHONY, PHILLIP, WALTER and WILLIAM. He is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
