William Pierce 
William was born on July 3rd, 1805 in Hardin Co.,Kentucky. William's father is James Pierce and his mother is Elizabeth Skaggs. His maternal grandparents were William Squire Skaggs and Mary Simpson. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, George Washington, Francis Marion, Polly, Nancy, Lydia and Sally Ann. He is the oldest of the eight children.-
