Lydia was born on January 23rd, 1815 in Hart Co.,Kentucky. Lydia's father is James Pierce and her mother is Elizabeth Skaggs. Her maternal grandparents were William Squire Skaggs and Mary Simpson. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William, John, George Washington, Francis Marion, Polly, Nancy and Sally Ann. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 55 in 1870 in Hart Co.,Kentucky.General Notes
