Reginald II was born about 1362 in Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales.  Reginald II's father was Reginald de Grey and his mother was Alianor le Strange.  His paternal grandparents were Roger (John) de Grey and Elizabeth de Hastings; his maternal grandparents were Roger II le Strange and Eleanor (Aline) FitzAlan. He had a sister named Edith.  He was the older of the two children.  He died on October 18th, 1440.

‌Reginald II and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on November 25th, 1378.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Henry, John, Isabella and Margaret Merriet.
