scrapbook (probably from the Fargo Forum newspaper published in Fargo,
North Dakota or The Hunter Times newspaper published in Hunter, Cass
County, North Dakota):
"LAST RITES FOR MR. SUTTON HELD HERE SATURDAY- Services for William F.
Sutton, who passed away last Wednesday afternoon, were held in the
Methodist Church here Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Richard E. Holden
officiating.  A double quartet composed of Mrs. Kenneth Thompson, Mrs.
Ray Martin, Mrs. Rudy Opp, Mrs. Cliff Ingnell, Clarence Martin, Kenneth
Thompson, Ray Martin and Merlyn Anderson sang Crossing the Bar.  They
were accompanied by Mrs. Holden.  Active pallbearers were Emil Moen,
William Moen, Dal Collins, Melvin Lein, Carl Howells and Ralph Thompson;
honorary pallbearers were D. A. Malstrom of Mapleton, J. A. Jardine,
Joseph Runsvold, Roy Landblom, Oscar Covert, Henning Ecklund, Lawrence
Yunker and Judge P. M. Paulsen, all of Fargo; Warren Bayley, Page; Ingolf
Sandbeck, Kindred; Joseph Spiekermeier, Sheldon and H. P. Smith of
Minneapolis.  Mr. Sutton was born December 5, 1877 at El Paso, Illinois,
he came to North Dakota in 1913, settling on the farm southeast of
Hunter, where he had lived since.  Mrs. Sutton died in 1916 two sons,
Paul and Keith, also preceded their father in death.  He is survived by
his son Lewis on the home farm; a brother, Edward of El Paso and two
grandchildren.  Mr. Sutton was senior member of the Cass County Board
having served continuously since 1931, He was re-elected to a four year
term last fall.  He was the first chairman of the Cass County welfare
board when it was organized.  He had served as secretary and president of
the North Dakota County Commissioners Association; and had also been a
member o the school and township boards."
