Samuel Critton was born on April 6th, 1868 in Sutton Farm, El Paso, Woodford County, Illinois. Samuel Critton's father was Samuel Sutton and his mother was Hannah Sheldon. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Sutton and Margaret Critton; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Sheldon and UNKNOWN Mary. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George Sheldon, Franklin Thomas, William Fenton, Edwin Percival, Anna Eliza and Mary Margaret. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 82 on February 23rd, 1951 in Colorado.General Notes
