Elizabeth Ann was born on April 13th, 1842 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Elizabeth Ann's father was Christopher Shaffer and her mother was Elizabeth C. Cox. Her paternal grandparents were Christopher Shaffer and Mary Fisher; her maternal grandparents were Emmer C. Cox and Elizabeth Huff. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Lewis Madden, William M., John Hamilton, Phoebe, Levina and Sarah Jane. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Orlando. She died after 1900 in Kansas or Tazewell County, Illinois.General Notes
