Paul Shafer 
Paul was born on October 11th, 1890 in Upper Big Creek, Roane County, Virginia. Paul's father was Samuel L. Shaver and his mother was Sarah Jane Kiser. His paternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Nancy Tanner; his maternal grandparents were Martin Kiser and Mary Ferrell. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Isiah Elias, Essaias, Ulysses Samuel, Ezekial, H. Martin, Isaiah W., Pharoah E., Sarah Catherine Jane, Viola Ollie and Cellia J.. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 64 on May 20th, 1955 in Los Angeles, California.-
